Political scientist Dr George Belle has suggested that Prime Minister Freundel Stuart’s delay in making changes to his Cabinet may have to do with his inexperience as a leader.
Following a SUNDAY SUN report of a letter in which 11 Government MPs requested an urgent audience with Stuart against the background of concerns about perceived weaknesses in leadership, the Prime Minister indicated that heads would roll if there was an attempt to undermine his leadership.
However, while there have been rumours of a planned Cabinet reshuffle, there has been no official announcement.
“What we know is that people have said that Mr Stuart takes his time to take decisions and very often that would come from the fact that somebody, even if they had leading positions in their organisations, they were not leaders,” said Belle, in an interview.
