DEAR CHRISTINE: Is he cheating on me with another man?

Date:

Dear Christine,
Please help me with this situation that I am in.
I met L a year ago, during a visit to the doctor. We were sitting in the waiting room for a long time, and soon started chatting.
We did not exchange telephone numbers or addresses, but about three weeks after that, we ran into each other at the supermarket.
It was then that we chatted and exchanged contact information.
We would talk for hours on the telephone and got to know a lot more about each other; such as our likes and dislikes and what we enjoy doing.
In August, he invited me to his birthday party.
I noticed that many of his friends were males, but this did not seem to be a big issue. We had a wonderful night, and L also introduced me to his friends as “a very special friend,” which was all right with me.
We continued calling each other and talking for long hours. We even had lunch together a few times, and I got the impression that we were really doing well in our newfound “relationship”.
That is, until the bombshell came.
On my birthday, I decided to literally surprise him by taking some birthday cake for him.
As I walked to his door, the curtains were not completely drawn, so it was possible to see inside.
What I saw made me want to throw up. There was L with another man, Christine, I left there in a hurry.
This is two months now, and I am still hurting. What should I do?

Dear Worried,
It is said that seeing is believing. You have seen with your eyes that L is either bisexual or totally gay, and he has not been honest or open with you. If you had any feelings for him, it’s best that you give yourself time to allow them to subside.
Obviously, with all the talking you do, he never told you about his sexual preferences.
You have a choice now either to keep him as “a friend” or break off the “relationship” altogether. The ball is in your court.
– CHRISTINE
