‘Stop the bashing’

National Union of Public Workers (NUPW)?president Walter Maloney has accused the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union (BSTU) of making unkind remarks about Chief Personnel Officer Gail Atkins.
Shortly after emerging from a meeting at the Ministry of Education that focused on the raging Alexandra School impasse, Maloney expressed concerns about comments allegedly made against Atkins.
“I would like the scurrilous attacks on the Chief Personnel Officer to stop. I would like all the scurrilous remarks being directed against her stopped, because she is being attacked personally.
“Attack the office, not the woman. I don’t know why that is being done,”?Maloney said.
