IT’S TIME FOR RONALD JONES to choose: either stick with political office, or remain president of the Barbados Football Association (BFA).
But not both. That’s the opinion of former Prime Minister Owen Arthur, who claimed Sunday night that what happened the past three weeks at The Alexandra School could not have transpired under a Barbados Labour Party government.
And he’s put the blame for the impasse squarely at the feet of the Ministry of Education, and by extension, minister Ronald Jones.
“This madness in the education system, where people’s children have been put in a situation where they are deprived of an education, could never have happened if I was the Prime Minister,” Arthur told a nomination meeting at the Bay Primary School.
