ANOTHER GUN DEALER is under the spotlight of police. Public relations officer Inspector David Welch confirmed yesterday that a male dealer was being interviewed. He declined to give any further comment.
This follows last Friday’s remand of president of the Barbados Rifle Association, Michael Holder.
He appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court to answer charges for possession of 4 527 rounds of ammunition without a permit and 21 counts of possession of a firearm without a valid licence.
Administrative secretary Debbie Skinner was also remanded for possession of a .38 STI Grandmaster pistol without a licence. Skinner and Holder are scheduled for bail hearings on Monday.
Club member Richard Arthur spent a night in Her Majesty’s Prisons Dodds on remand for an ammunitions charge in relation to 102 bullets. He was released on bail last Friday. (YB)
