The Nation’s Online Editor Carol Martindale looks at What’s Trending today in Barbados.
The recent death of Joan and Cecil Fitt just three hours apart, touched the hearts of many of our online readers and when we reported on their funeral service today, many were moved.
The service was held at the St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral. It was the Kenny Rogers’ song Through The Years that was playing as the two coffins were side by side.
This story tugged at many heartstrings today.

Gotzone Arambarri Foster:  “This is a true love story. May they rest in peace and their children take comfort in that. The love that kept them together through thick and thin has taken them together to a new chapter.”
Margaret Ross:  “True love – 52 years of marriage; God bless them both.”
Patrick Porter:  “May they both rest In peace. Love that will never be parted. To their family I extend my deepest sympathies.”
