Wanderers Juniors storm into semis

A superb unbroken opening stand of 129 between Danny Chesham and Danyl Husbands piloted Counterpoint Wanderers into the semifinals of the Inspire Sports/National Sports Council Under-13 Cricket Competition.  
Player Of The Match Chesham, who entered the match with two centuries, sustained his fine form with a sparkling undefeated 76, while Husbands made a solid 22 not out as Wanderers Juniors crushed Isolation Cavaliers Juniors by ten wickets with 18.1 overs to spare at Dayrells Road.
Wanderers will be joined in next Sunday’s semis by Dover Juniors and St Philip Juniors, who will clash at Dover. Wanderers will oppose the winners of the rescheduled quarter-final match between YMPC Juniors and three-time defending champions Fusionz Boutique Passage United at Dayrells Road.
That quarter-final was called off because of unsuitable conditions at Beckles Road. It will now be played on Saturday.
