Barbadians praying for Eastmond’s recovery

Prayers and well-wishes have been pouring in for Opposition Member of Parliament Rawle Eastmond who remains hospitalised after falling ill earlier this week due to his diabetic condition.
Yesterday it could not be confirmed whether the long-standing Barbados Labour Party MP for St James North was still being treated at the Psychiatric Hospital – after being taken there Wednesday morning – or had been shifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
It was discovered that the blood sugar level of Eastmond, 58, was quite low, following a mishap involving the vehicle he was driving along Road View, St Peter, in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Yesterday a number of NATION online readers were swift with their responses when they heard the news.  (CM/BW)
