ANOTHER LAKERS-CAVS FINAL?

The rivalry that redefined basketball is about to be renewed in the Senior Knockout title game after Lumber Company Lakers held Akeem Marsh to just two fourth-quarter points of Thursday’s 73-58 victory over Roll-A-Way St John’s Sonics at the Wildey Gym.
It’s the fifth top-flight final to be contested between the clubs in seven seasons following a pair of memorable Knockout title games (2005, 2008) and three Premier League finals series (2007, 2008, 2010).
In all, the two storied sides have combined for about 15 cups in that span – including seven of the last eight Premier League championships. But never has one side been favoured more in this series than these Lakers, whose average margin of victory has been more than 17 points after double-digit wins over three play-off hopefuls.
