Garcia soon out of Dodds

Preparations at the facility that will house Cuban Raul Garcia are near completion and his move from Her Majesty’s Prison at Dodds will take place “fairly soon”, according to human rights activist and attorney at law David Comissiong.
Details of the location of the non-punitive facility, controlled by the Barbados Defence Force, have not been made public.
And Comissiong, who spoke about the matter with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart as recently as Tuesday, said restrictions on Garcia’s movements were still to be finalized.
“We haven’t worked out all the parameters but suffice it to say, even if he does not have his full freedom, it would be much preferable to being locked up in Dodds. There is an element of human dignity involved here,” he told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday.
