Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has made a political blunder by seeking a legal, rather than a political solution to the Alexandra School impasse.
And political scientist Peter Wickham, who made that assessment, believes Stuart’s “strange” decision to send the dispute to a Commission of Inquiry was not the move of a man who wants to win the next general elections.
Reacting to the Prime Minister’s Thursday evening announcement, Wickham said he had lost out on a chance to prove his leadership ability.
He told the SATURDAY SUN that while it appeared Stuart was “trying to find a legal solution . . . it’s a political solution that has to be found to this and most of the other problems he’s facing”.
