Eager Jones paying price

Ronald Jones’ perceived association with the Eager Eleven and his handling of the Alexandra School impasse are almost certainly the reasons why he is no longer Prime Minister Freundel Stuart’s second in command.
Political scientist George Belle told the DAILY?NATION yesterday that Minister of Education Jones had fallen from grace for those reasons and Stuart was now rewarding Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy for distancing himself from the Eager Eleven.
Sealy acted as Prime Minister for the first time last month and is currently performing that role while Stuart is on a visit to Washington, United States.
“It is clear that Stuart associated Jones with the group of persons who had not informed sufficiently on what was going on in relations to their concerns about leadership, and that they acted independently in a way that could be seen as a challenge to his leadership,” Belle said.
