For the third time this week, a Barbadian has joined an elite club on the island whose inductees are a special few.
Charles Carter, of Free Hill, Black Rock, St Michael, was visited by Acting Governor General Elliott Belgrave yesterday as he celebrated his 100th birthday, making him the third person to do so since Sunday.
“I owe all of this to the Lord and my association with the church,” he said when a NATION team visited his home. Carter, in his early days, was a builder who married twice and had eight children, two of whom are now deceased.
