Another Irishman has taken over control of grounded Barbadian-based carrier REDjet, while outspoken businessman Ralph “Bizzy” Williams has quietly departed the airline’s board.
The developments come as REDjet officials actively lobby Government for financial support for a new plan of action aimed at getting it back into the skies.
The DAILY NATION has learned that Geoffrey O’Byrne White, former chief executive officer of the Irish regional airline CityJet, has been recruited to manage the day-to-day operations of REDjet, which has been inactive since March 16.
White, who has been with REDjet since February 25, takes over from former chief executive officer Ian Burns, according to reliable sources.
