Bank Hall gun accused remanded

Two handguns and quantities of cocaine and cannabis were recovered, while five people were arrested by police following a raid at De Nest in Maxwell, Christ Church, on Saturday about 4:30 a.m.
Police are alleging that one gun, a 9 mm pistol, was recovered containing 17 rounds of ammunition; and another was found on Toriano Hunte, who was subsequently arrested.
Hunte, 40, of Bank Hall, St Michael, appeared in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with unlawful possession of a .45 pistol and possession of seven rounds of ammunition without a permit. He was remanded until June 11.
Two others arrested were owner Robin Anthony Ryan, 40, and Latoya Elliott, 29, both of Clapham, St Michael. (SP)
