Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar yesterday announced that consideration is being given to transform Tobago into a duty-free zone.
The Prime Minister added that discussions are also being held with respect to constructing first-class marinas on the sister isle, in an effort to attract tourists and build capacity.
These possible initiatives were added to the basket of goodies in the form of projects and plans for Tobago, as the People’s Partnership coalition gears up for the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) elections which, are constitutionally due in January next year. (Trinidad Express)
