Tridents shock Warriors

Tionne Bostic drilled an unlikely last-second three-pointer to lift Premier League basketball’s previously winless Co-operators General Insurance Tridents to a thrilling 66-64 shocker over First Works Warriors Sunday at the Wildey Gym.
It was a fitting end to an 11-game schoolboys’ losing streak that just seemed to feature one heartbreak after another.
Warriors’ offence accounted for less than 52 points a contest during an ongoing four-game skid, so Sunday’s effort represented somewhat of an explosion.
It certainly didn’t look that way when they managed just seven points in the first quarter – and 23 overall during the opening 20 minutes – against a Tridents side that scored 21 of the game’s first 28 points before leading by as many as 16 (26-10).
