A 30-year-old man shot by police during a chase was in stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) last night.
Kunta “Beep-Beep” Tull, of Kensington Lodge, St Michael, suffered a bullet wound to the left armpit during an incident involving the police around 3:30 p.m. yesterday in Green park Lane, near Baxters Road, The City.
Residents and curious onlookers gathered at the scene, with some venting anger over the circumstances which led to Tull’s injury.
Police reports indicated that members of the Special Services Unit and the Criminal Investigation Division were responding to a report when the incident occurred.
Tull was under police watch at the QEH. (TS)
