Trust fund to help students

FORMER GOVERNMENT MINISTER Rommell Marshall is in the process of establishing a trust fund to benefit students of three primary schools in St Joseph.
The registered fund, which is being proposed under the name Watching Our Children Grow, will be managed by a lawyer and the principals of the St Bernard’s, St Elizabeth and St Joseph primary schools, who will serve as trustees.
This was the word from Marshall as he spoke to the media during a tour and luncheon on Tuesday at the Divi Southwinds Beach Resort, where he hosted 52 students from the mentioned primary schools who wrote the recent Common Entrance Examination.
The former Member of Parliament said the fund, which is expected to generate funds from corporate Barbados and entities outside of Barbados, would be used mostly for the purpose of providing students with uniforms.
