DEAR CHRISTINE: Confused and tempted by married man

Date:

Share post:

Dear Christine,
I AM 21-YEARS-OLD and have been friends with a married man for the past four months.
We would like to be with each other more than we can, as this is only possible like every week or sometimes even longer.
He says he does not want to rush me into anything, but that he loves me and wants me. He also says he loves his wife, but that that is nothing because he loves me and will take care of me.
I feel so confused and tempted. Do you feel I should give him up?
It would almost break my heart to do so.
– G.H

Dear G.H,
Eventually your heart will be broken when this man leaves you. He will not stick around for ever, as he is already taken.
I’m sure if you were given the choice of having a free brand new vehicle or a used vehicle, you’ll want the new one. Likewise, leave this man alone and look for a bright new relationship which brings with it hope and possibly a lifetime commitment.
Petting sessions are dangerous.
Stop seeing him altogether or pay the penalty of certain heartbreak later.
You should also consider his wife. If she discovers her husband has been “courting you” it will cause her much pain.
There is nothing in this relationship for you so stop being part of this cheating game.

– CHRISTINE
