A PASTOR has told members of the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) and the Barbados Coast Guard that they must demonstrate wisdom when exercising their authority.
“Authority without wisdom is like an axe without an edge,” Reverend Kevin Harris of the New Testament Church of God said as he delivered a sermon at St Matthias Anglican Church yesterday.
Harris addressed BDF and Coast Guard personnel during a service launching a week of activities for their 33rd anniversary celebrations.
The service was attended by Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave; Prime Minister Freundel Stuart; BDF chief of staff Colonel Alvin Quintyne; Director of Public Prosecutions Charles Leacock; and Justice Sherman Moore, among others. (CA)
