A?NIFCA gold medal award-winning artist, who was serving a life sentence at Her Majesty Prisons Dodds, is due to take his walk to freedom this week.
Convicted murderer Carlisle St Clair Trotman, who has served close to 30 years behind bars, has had his sentence remitted by the local Privy Council and should be home with his family by tomorrow.
His attorney, Arthur Holder, confirmed to the DAILY?NATION yesterday that he received a letter last Friday signed by Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave advising of his client’s freedom.
The 50-year-old Trotman was convicted on February 5, 1986, of murdering Michael Cox, of Rendezvous, Christ Church, sometime between July 1 and 9, 1985, and sentenced to hang.
