An operation today by the Drug Squad at the Bridgetown Port has netted four packages of cannabis.
Police seized the packages weighing about 38 pounds which were found in two drums which were to contain fuel.
“As part of the Force’s on-going eradication efforts, the Drug Squad continues to carry out operations at the ports of entry.  Three containers which arrived from Jamaica on Thursday August 23, 2012 were searched.  In one of the containers, two racing cars along with a number of drums said to contain fuel were found.  In two of these drums, the illegal drug was discovered,” stated a release this evening from the Police.
The container, the motorcars and the drums have been seized pending further investigations. (CM/PR)
