Old Scholars and national players who have benefited from the sport of netball are being urged to give back to their schools and help develop the programme from the youth level.
Julie Phillips, the newly elected president of the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Netball League (BSSNL), issued the invitation in a telephone interview with NATIONSPORT.
“I want to encourage the old scholars and national players who may be unemployed to find some time to give back to your schools,” said Phillips, a physical education (PE) teacher at Springer Memorial.
“If they have an hour to spare, they can assist PE teachers in the development of the schools’ programmes, specifically as it relates to netball. Now is the time for them to offer something back to their school.”
