Mum’s the word so far on the meeting called to investigate an alleged incident between two parliamentarians that may have involved a firearm.
The Committee of Privileges of the House of Assembly met yesterday starting a process to hear from members regarding what occurred on the night of March 19, 2010, between Deputy Opposition Leader Dale Marshall, and Minister of Agriculture Dr David Estwick.
Speaker Michael Carrington, who is chairman of the committee, was non-committal when reached by the DAILY NATION about the meeting.
“We are set to investigate the matter. When that is done, I will present a report to Parliament and will make a statement on the matter. You have a good day,” Carrington said. (BA)
