ENERGY?MATTERS are expected to make up the bulk of debate when the House of Assembly meets today at 10 a.m.
There are three energy related bills in the name of Prime Minister Freundel Stuart on the Order Paper.
An amendment to the 1981 National Petroleum Corporation?Act will for the first time include natural gas within the definition of the term “petroleum” as used in the legislation.
The bill will also empower the minister responsible for petroleum to make regulations covering the installation, maintenance, inspection and examination of natural gas pipelines on a domestic or commercial property. (AB)
