The Barbados Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) has a new marketing and communications officer.
Kim Morris, a practitioner of 12 years experience in the field, began her career in 1995  as a reporter covering social issues and human interest stories.
After her stint in journalism, she worked in both the private and public sector in the areas of marketing, public relations and advertising, where her responsibilities included conceptualizing advertising campaigns, event management and media consultancy.
A graduate of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Morris holds a Bachelor’s degree in sociology as well as a certificate in Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising from the UWI School of Continuing Education.
She also recently joined the Bridgetown Toastmasters Club with the aim of improving her listening, speaking and thinking skills.
Such is her passion for learning that she has become a self-confessed hobbyist, having undertaken classes in pottery, crochet and jewellery making and design.
Morris, a former student of the Christ Church Foundation School and Barbados Community College, took up her post with the BCCI in October. (PR)
