OUTSIDE THE PULPIT: Show photos of GG and PM

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. – Galatians 4: 4 and 5.
There is something that has been worrying me for a very long time. When I visit some of our schools, there is a noticeable absence of photos of our present Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave and Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
Why are they not being displayed in our schools? Can someone from the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development – and the schools – please tell me and the wider Barbados why those photographs are not on the walls of our schools?
But yet, I saw photos of the president of the United States, Barack Obama, in some of our schools. I also saw photos of the former Governor General Sir Clifford Husbands.
If I am not mistaken those photos may be obtained from the Government Information Service.
There is no excuse that they are not up. Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has been in his position since October 2010 and Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave since June. What is the reason?
Do not tell me that the schools did not receive them. If so, they should have asked for them. Both photos are on display in Parliament.
When this article is read by someone from the Ministry of Education, I hope that the school district officers will see to it that they are placed in our school halls, no later than next week.
