Obama is the man!

Well, duh got some people in America today – they are called Republicans – who gine be talking and carrying on as duh like.
Some o’ dem gine be getting on just like how we in Barbados does do when things in politics doan guh the way we want dem tuh; but like it or not, Obama is the man tuh lead the United States of America fuh the next four or so years.
You think dat some people, especially the blacks, woulda leh Mitt Romney come, beat and trample  all ovah Obama? Oh no, I ain’t care who duh is.  You think dat dem woulda stand by and let Obama  just be a one-term president? Not at all. You think  dat dem woulda stand home and doan go out  and vote? Not this time around; I doan think so.
Look, howevah duh feel bout Obama,  he is the man. He is the one who made history  by being the first black president and despite  all the talk, speculation, opinions and polls from  all o’ dem political experts, he is the one who,  as I said before, will be around for another term  and the one who they will continue tuh  say Mr President tuh.
So, Mitt Romney  and his thousands o’ faithful Republican followers will have tuh lick duh wounds, go back tuh the drawing board and come again four years  from now when this term is over and Obama could hand over the reins tuh somebody else, and gracefully bow out.
He ain’t gine have  tuh be fighting up wid nuhbody tuh hold on tuh nuh presidency position; he will be in a position  tuh watch other people scratching and tearing  out one another eyeballs fuh the position he held, and then he will leave  the White House as a proud black man, having completed his time and mission.
Ya know the president of the United States  of America does only do two terms in office. It ain’t like ’bout here in the Caribbean, where people does  want tuh be in the driver’s seat fuh duh entire lifetime. You know wha’ I talking ’bout too!
Sometimes you would think dat somebody  would have died and left it in duh will dat these politicians should be in power fuh a lifetime – mine, yours and dem wun. And, look, fuh some o’ dem  it does be old hell tuh leh go, ya know? Some o’ dem does be gine ’long kicking and screaming like a child who doan want tuh release he favourite toy. Duh ain’t know one frupse ’bout gracefully bowing out.
Fuh example, look at how dat sort o’ thing  does mess up countries; look at how it got Cuba.  Castro sick as a dog, he could hardly lift up he head,  so he appointed his brother Raul tuh do the job.  Look at the Duvaliers, the “Papa Doc” and “Baby  Doc”, in Haiti. Up tuh now poor Haiti cahn catch  itself fuh thy kingdom come; it still reeling from  all the lot o’ strife and stress from years and years  o’ violence and oppression.
Fuh donkey years the Birds did running  Antigua, and I mean literally running it. When  the father was young and healthy, he was in charge, and then it was he son or sons and nephews.
Look, generations o’ Birds run Antigua fuh umpteen years and nuh matter what they did, nobody like duh couldn’t get dem moved.
Not so in the States. Ya does serve a certain time and leave the people place wid more gray hair than when ya come in. I am more than happy for  the Obamas and I pray, like a whole lot o’  people around the world, dat first he and  his family will be safe, and dat wid all  the decision-making and presidential engagements  and responsibilities, this term will be even better  than the first one.
