After a surreal tour of Bangladesh which saw him capture 12 wickets in two Tests, Tino Best now has his sights set on breaking into the world’s top 10.
His impressive performance saw the muscularly built, energetic fast bowler jump 14 spots to No. 42 in the ICC Test rankings – the first time he has broken into the top 50.
After helping the West Indies to a 2-0 series sweep of Bangladesh, Best, now with 46 wickets from 18 Tests at an average of 36.00, said he would like to become one of the world’s best fast bowlers.
“I am absolutely elated at my performances in Bangladesh, because it has come after two years of extremely hard work,” he told NATIONSPORT in a telephone interview yesterday, having returned to Barbados on Wednesday night.
