The series of town hall meetings on the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (BSSEE) will now start in January.
Parents and guardians of children who will be taking the 2013 BSSEE, familiarly known as the Common Entrance Examination, are encouraged to attend at least one of the sessions, which begin on January 5.
The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development initiative also targets principals and teachers with the aim of sensitising all stakeholders about the processes involved in the administration of the BSSEE.
Senior Education Officer Glyne Price and education officer Everton Briggs will conduct the sessions, which are scheduled for various venues across the island. The two officers will, among other things, instruct people about how to fill out the forms used in the BSSEE, including those for choice of school, deferral and special requests. All meetings will begin at 5 p.m. (BGIS)
