Reddy for Valentine’s

If you think you’re seeing red when you visit the Bridgetown Gallery at Sheraton Mall, Christ Church, you actually are.
Red is the name of the upcoming art show scheduled to open to the public on January 28. However, the launching ceremony will take place on February 1.
As the name suggests, each painting on display will depict something that has been painted in red. Since red is the colour for die-hard believers of Valentine’s Day, this may be all the more reason to purchase a piece from this Red collection.
Some of the artists whose work is set for display are Professor Henry Fraser, whose watercolour paintings of historic buildings seems to add a soft touch to their architecture; award-winning artist Elizabeth Stewart, Oneika Small, Arthur Atkinson, Andy Pierce and Amanda Hunte.
Curator Martha Berry has issued an invitation to artists interested in having their works displayed during this month of Red to contact the art gallery. (CH)
