The island’s NEWEST regulatory body – the Financial Services Commission (FSC) – is losing its chief executive officer.
Reliable sources have informed the MIDWEEK NATION that Ian Carrington, who was headhunted by Government to lead the FSC, is turning his back on the institution.
Carrington, who joined the FSC on October 1, 2011, on an 18-month secondment from the National Insurance Scheme (NIS), has indicated to the FSC board of directors that he is not interested in staying with the FSC after March 13, when his contract ends, the sources indicated.
When contacted yesterday, Carrington declined to comment, while efforts to reach FSC chairman Sir Frank Alleyne were futile.
