Yellow retain Cumberbatch crown

Yellow House repeated their winning performance, retaining the title of top house at the Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary School sports day on Friday at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic playing field.
With parents and supporters cheering on their favourites, Yellow, with 962 points, were way ahead of their rivals.
Green, who had 840 points, took second place with the help of victrix ludorum Deandra Foster who had 45 points. They were followed closely by Red on 825, boosted by victor ludorum Jayden Blanche who had 51 points. Blue had 797 points.
Foster, an Under-11 competitor, came first in the 100 metres, 200m, 400m, the open 600m and the long jump, and second in the cricket ball throw.
Blanche did the Under-13 events of the long jump, the 100 metres, 200m, 400m and the open 600m.
Indica Kellman-Wall, from Red House, was the individual champion in the Under-13 girls with 34 points for Red House. Nico Samaroo was the individual champion in the Under-11 boys. The Under-9 girls’ and boys’ champions were Ashley Corbin and Kymani Sullivan respectively. (NS)
