Fanfare

A large crowd gathered outside Parliament Buildings yesterday to welcome the legislators, dignitaries and specially invited guests attending the official opening of Parliament.
And Barbadians showed their support for the Members of Parliament, both Government and Opposition, as they arrived to participate in the event which saw Senator Kerryann Ifill chosen as President of the Senate and Michael Carrington as Speaker of the House, positions they both held in the last Parliament.
