FISH VENDORS say this is best time to buy because the fish are plentiful and the prices are low.
Vendors at Berinda Cox Fish Market in Oistins and the Bridgetown Fish Market in Cheapside say they are almost certain that as Easter approaches there will be enough fish for everyone and a good choice between turpit, dolphin and the popular flying fish.
Ricardo Small, a fish vendor at the Cheapside Market, said yesterday that flying fish are being sold at $50 for 100 and dolphin at $5 a pound.
Small, a vendor for the past 18 years, said: “Almost all the boats are in right now and when they go back out, things will get hard. (LK)
