Easter treats in abundance

It’s not a Bajan Easter without kites, fish and hot cross buns.
And this year, all are plentiful.
Wherever you go, colourful kites in various sizes are on sale, though there have been complaints that some are a bit pricey.
At the several fish markets, vendors and fishermen are reporting that the flying fish have “flown” home and are in abundance. But if you prefer bigger fish such as dolphins – no problem. There are loads of them available too.
And then there are the hot cross buns baked by different bakeries across the island. Though they cost much more than the nursery rhyme says, “Hot cross buns, one ha’ penny, two ha’ penny”, they are just as delicious and great for your sons and daughters.
Here, Alisha Best bagging these fresh hot buns at Bakers Mart. (SP)
