ONE OF THE CHURCH’S best-kept secrets was revealed on Tuesday evening during a meeting of the Men’s Ministry of the People’s Cathedral.
Guest speaker Ambrose Carter, the director of the Pure Sex Centre, told the well attended meeting that some priests, pastors and regular churchgoers were all guilty of indulging in the watching of pornography.
“There is a portion of scripture which refers to men being lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God and we also have the concepts of spirituality versus humanism,” Carter said.
“Therefore, what has happened is when you come into the church from a secular background, many of the things that we did outside the church we bring into the church with us, including immoral sex, masturbation and anal intercourse.”
He condemned oral sex and said sodomy was any sex that did not solely include genitalia. (CA)
