Biker: Treat it as a sport

Daredevil biker Sergio Blackett, the target of some police chases, says he is not a criminal, just a youngster with a passion to ride.
Known for some of the most death-defying stunts, Blackett, backed by his mother, yesterday appealed to authorities to treat the activity as a sport and allow bikers a designated location to carry on their riding.
He is among the 1 427 registered motorcyclists and Blackett said his licence, road tax and insurance are always paid up.
“The police have their job to do. I am not stopping them. If people are without licence, road tax and insurance, hold them. If bikers are breaking the law, hold them the legal way,” he said. (AC)
