Lawyers and small contractors in Barbados have come up short when it comes to honesty and customer satisfaction, according to the latest survey by the National Initiative for Service Excellence (NISE).
The Customer Satisfaction Survey, conducted between January and April this year, rated lawyers, small residential building contractors, beauty and personal care providers, and private doctors.
Customer satisfaction for lawyers was 68 per cent compared with 65 per cent for the contractors, 90 per cent for beauty and personal care and 87 per cent for private doctors. The accepted average, based on the model, is 78 per cent.
Customer satisfaction is based on expectation, value for money and perceived quality.
Chief executive officer of NISE, Kim Tudor, in presenting the findings at NISE’s Harbour Road, St Michael office yesterday, said the low customer satisfaction score for lawyers and high concern about dishonesty were of “grave concern” for her organization.
