ANY?ACT?of violence, whether in the streets or in the schools, has to be condemned.
That’s the view of Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Senator Harry Husbands, speaking in the wake of Wednesday morning’s assault on Parkinson Memorial principal Jeff Broomes on the school compound.
Husbands told the SATURDAY SUN he saw Broomes after the incident and he appeared in good spirits.
Broomes, who has been principal of Parkinson since January, was allegedly punched in the face and had his glasses broken.
Husbands said the Ministry of Education was always taking the issue of security seriously.
