THREE HEROIC YOUNG MEN saw a chance to serve their country and help their fellow man on Thursday night, and they wasted no time.
However, they said they did not want to be viewed as heroes as it was something anybody should have done in the same circumstances.
The story unfolded when the trio decided to head to The Blue Room Sports Bar and Grill on Hastings Main Road, Christ Church, around 9:30 that night.
Police reports indicate unknown perpetrators snatched the handbag of Swedish visitor Sandra Bozzuro, 27, and tried to get away on bicycles along St Matthias Road.
Bozzuro’s father, 64-year-old Giuseppe, attempted to run after the men but fell and badly injured an arm. This was when Jonathan Ince, Russell Solomon and Mark Farmer sprang into action.
The SATURDAY SUN caught up with Ince and Solomon in Warrens, St Michael, where they recounted their tale. Farmer was not present.
