Help on the way

Sandy Samuels might not have had the Mother’s Day most mothers look forward to in terms of comforts, but the hope and joy of the final days of Eastertide have worked in her favour.
No sooner had her desperate plea for a home hit the streets in this week’s SUNDAY SUN, than helping hands were being extended from Barbadians.
In fact, one of her greatest needs will be fulfilled next Tuesday, a mere two days after Pentecost, which formally wraps up the Easter celebration.
All things being equal, Samuels, the triplets and their five-year-old brother will be moving into a two-bedroom house in Denton Road, Grazettes, St Michael.
Head of the National Organization of Women (NOW), Marilyn Rice-Bowen, met with owner Coral Wilkinson, who can never say no to a hard luck story, to discuss the details yesterday afternoon.
