SJPP class shows off creations

The designs and sewing work of Leaders of Tomorrow’s Fashion were on show in an exhibition at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic yesterday.
Members of the public saw fancy skirts, dresses, work suits and other creative pieces designed and sewn by garment-making students.
Some 29 students grasped the opportunity to show off their end-of-year course work.
Tutor Alice Murray told the DAILY NATION that the annual display was held to highlight and give exposure to the acquired skills of students, most of whom would have entered the programme without the ability or knowledge of how to sew. (AH)
