BARBADOS and other Caribbean countries will benefit from more funding from the world’s governing body for football, FIFA.
The president of the Barbados Football Association (BFA), Randy Harris, made the disclosure on Sunday night after returning from what he described as “a very serious”  FIFA congress in Mauritius.
“FIFA has given CONCACAF quite a bit of money for football development in the Caribbean,” he said.
“We have already received it [but] what we as Caribbean nations now have to do is to present some programme for the development, either in youth, refereeing or women’s [football].”
