Shoppers for hire purchase

AN APPLIANCE and furniture retailer says more and more Barbadians are opting for hire purchase plans instead of dipping into their savings.
And he believes this is a sign that the economy is “tightening” and consumers are uncertain.
Furthermore, executive director of Dacosta Mannings Retail, Paul Rowe, said “different types” of people were applying for credit.
