GOVERNMENT  is being asked  to make a decision on Bushy Park’s redevelopment.
The race course’s caretaker, Wendy Williams, says that planning permission should be granted for Bushy Park’s multimillion-dollar renovation or the country will risk losing international television coverage for a major motoring event  next season.
Williams made the call in a letter to the WEEKEND NATION on  the heels on the revelation that the Town Planning Department had yet to receive an application requesting planning permission ahead  of the proposed July 1 start date.
“If Government does not state its position clearly in time for work to start on July 1, without confusion over planning permission, the opportunity for the worldwide TV coverage will be lost, so the track will not be developed,” Williams wrote.
