COMMISSIONER OF POLICE Darwin Dottin has taken legal action against the Attorney General (AG) and the Police Service Commission (PSC) over his forced retirement.
According to sources, Dottin’s legal team, headed by Elliott Mottley, QC, yesterday filed suit in the High Court challenging the decision to remove the Commissioner from office Monday.
Dottin received marching orders in a letter, signed by PSC chairman Guyson Mayers, which stated the top cop  was being retired in the public interest with immediate effect.
Full details of yesterday’s court action were not available but sources further indicated that Dottin’s legal team submitted that the document served on their client was flawed and unconstitutional, among other pleadings.
