CLICO jolt – Jordan resigns

The controversial CLICO judicial management has been hit by a snag.
That’s because Oliver Jordan, the front man of Deloitte Consulting Inc which was appointed by the High Court in Barbados on April 13, 2011, to find a solution to the CLICO mess, has submitted his resignation from that accounting firm.
Jordan is expected to join Deloitte’s competitor PricewaterhouseCoopers as a partner.
According to highly placed sources, the move could have serious implications for what happens next in the CLICO debacle as the other principal of Deloitte – Patrick Toppin – has stepped down as managing partner of the firm and was preparing for retirement.
But in an immediate response last night Toppin told the DAILY NATION that he would take charge of the process and would represent the firm in court on Monday when the final CLICO restructuring plan was presented to High Court Judge William Chandler.
