UWI-Cavs final

UWI’S CHANCE at redemption surely wasn’t long in coming.
Women’s basketball’s next best rivalry is about to take centre stage again, as Toni Atherley scored a game-high 21 points in Tuesday’s 72-36 rout of Combined Schools Hoopsters at the Wildey Gym to lead UWI Blackbirds to a knockout title clash against Station Hill Cavaliers.
It’s the second time in two weeks the ardent rivals will be squaring off with a cup on the line after Station Hill came out on the winning end of last week’s three-game league finals series.
And the Cavs wasted no time in signalling their intent to do the double, thrashing Urban Vybz St John’s Sonics 76-52 in the nightcap despite getting a token ten minutes from star forward Wanda Agard-Belgrave.
